For past few years now, OnePlus has been releasing phones with a variation on the same promise of all the best smartphones without paying flagship prices. The company offers high-end smartphones at significantly cheaper prices compared to the rival smartphone suppliers. Now, the company recently announced its flagship smartphone OnePlus 6 at a price range of Rs34,999 or $529 only and this new breakthrough will be available in all markets from 22nd May on Amazon and the official OnePlus website and offline OnePlus store too. It is the nicest phone ever released as compared to other One Plus phones. This phone challenges some of the big names or companies of smartphones when we compare the features that OnePlus 6 offers. Here’s a quick review of OnePlus 6.

Available Color

One Plus 6 smartphones comes in 3 different color variant i.e. Midnight Black, Mirror Blac, and Silk White. They are also providing Marvel Avengers Limited Edition variant, which is like a special release. This new Phone holds truly a winning formula i.e. a premium smartphone with top end specifications that costs less than half of Apple iPhones. OnePlus 6 is faster and smoother as compared to other smartphones available in the market right now.

The 6.28 inch AMOLED screen is enormous, bright, colorful and crisp with great viewing angles. This phone is available in both mirror and matt finishes and with smooth, polished metal sides. Needless to mention, the phone fills very nice in hands and certainly gives out a premium vibe.

Some notable features

The OnePlus 6 is indeed a great value product given all of its high-end specifications, perhaps even more now when every company’s flagship products have extremely high ballooned prices. The phone comes with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides but it is still prone to scratches if you drop it enough times. It comes WITH a 3.5mm jack notification light, proximity sensor, fingerprint scanner, face unlocking, Geo-tapping, touch focus, HDR, panorama, accelerometer, compass and indeed many more. Ohw, did we say: This phone is waterproof, so it can stand few accidental dips or maybe a walk in the rain.

Let’s Talk About OnePlus 6 Battery

Battery life is good at a capacity of 3300 mAh and is class leading as it lasts for 30 hours with normal use. Charging is really fast via Dash Charger, hitting 30% from dead in 17 minutes and a full charge in just 90 minutes.

Talking about the OS

It comes with Oxygen OS (Official OnePlus OS) time based on Android 8.1 Oreo, which is the latest Android OS available right now with Android P due in summer. Oxygen OS 5.1 is the smoothest and most refined yet, matching that on Google’s Pixel 2 for speed. Customization options include the ability to swap out the traditional Android navigation home, back and overview buttons for gestures, which is similar to iPhone X 😉

OnePlus 6 Camera

The camera is one of the best things about OnePlus 6. The new autofocus features multiply your picture quality in many folds than the prodigy One Plus 5T. Similar to the previous release, OnePlus 6 to have a 16MP front camera and a powerful 20MP dual camera on the back. The pictures will be crisper and beautiful than ever. You can record 4K Video at up to 60 frames per second, and motion shots are just incredible. Now, you can even select which part of the video you want in slow-mo. We will give it a fat thumbs up for that.

Conclusion

If you hold a One Plus 5T and you are confused whether you should upgrade or not, then you should now that both these phones have more or less the same specs. The camera is a bit better and of course, it is much faster thanks to the new Snapdragon processor. These two reasons stand out if you wanna upgrade. However, if you are not bothered about camera or speed right now, then you should stick with One Plus 5T. And, if you are looking for a new smartphone and are willing to spend a bit for the amazing features, then One Plus 6 is the perfect option for you. One Plus 6 has some of the most amazing features and that too at a decent price. We recommend that you go for it. And for One Plus 5T holders, it is better if you wait for OnePlus 6t.

Though I am pretty satisfied with my current Samsung smartphone, but if I have any plans for new handset I will change it only for Corning’s Gorilla Glass feature since it is almost unbreakable.
